Owen Coyle kicked off his managerial career at Falkirk as co-player-manager in 2003.
After building his coaching experience in Scotland, he took St. Johnstone to within a whisker of promotion to the SPL, but did secure the club a Scottish Cup final appearance in 2007.
Moving to Burnley, he achieved promotion to the top flight as the Clarets joined the Premier League for the first time in their history, in 2009, via the play-offs.
Coyle moved to Bolton Wanderers in 2010, and three years later took charged at near neighbours Wigan Athletic.
Since 2014 he has enjoyed spells in charge of Houston Dynamo, Blackburn Rovers and Ross County
As a player, he made over 700 senior appearances, securing one international cap for the Republic of Ireland.
