Phil Brown

Currently the manager of League Two side Swindon Town, Phil Brown took his coaching badges while still a player at Bolton and got his first taste of management as the club’s caretaker boss in 1999.
He was appointed manager of Derby County in 2005, but it was at Hull City that he enjoyed his first big managerial successes, leading the ‘Tigers’ to promotion to the Premier League in 2008. He spent two seasons managing Hull in the top flight.
After a spell in charge of Preston North End, he went on to spend five years at Southend, achieving promotion to League One via the play-offs.
