During a glittering playing career, at club level Ronald Koeman won two European Cups, five Dutch Championships, and four La Ligas. At international level he won the 1988 European Championships with the Netherlands.
In 2000, Koeman took his first steps into management with Vitesse Arnhem. League title success followed as manager of Ajax and PSV. He went on to manage Feyenoord, AZ and Valencia.
In 2014, Koeman accepted the challenge of managing in the Barclays Premier League when joining Southampton. His side was renowned for playing a brand of powerful, attack-minded possession reminiscent of his own play as a holding midfielder/defender.
Koeman left Southampton to manage Everton in 2016. In 2018 he was appointed manager of the Netherlands national team.
