Stephen Robinson is currently the manager of Scottish Premiership side Motherwell, a role he has held since since his appointment in February 2017.
As a player he was a central midfielder, coming through the youth ranks at Tottenham. He went on to represent Bournemouth, Preston North End, Bristol City and Luton Town, and he also earned seven caps for Northern Ireland.
He kicked off his coaching career with numerous roles at the Irish FA, including as manager of the U17s and the U21s. He also enjoyed a spell as first team coach of the senior side, helping manager Michael O’Neill through the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign and at the European Championship finals in France.
He joined Motherwell as assistant manager in 2015, before taking over as manager of EFL League One side Oldham Athletic the following year. Returning to Motherwell as first team coach, he was soon installed as manager and, in his first full season in charge, he reached the final of both the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
