Wally Downes

Charismatic coach Wally Downes has recently been assisting Steve Coppell managing in the Indian Super League. Prior to that he has coached at West Ham United, Southampton, Reading and Crystal Palace. He also enjoyed two years in charge of Brentford, winning the Second Division Manager of the Month award in August 2002.
As a player, Downes made 207 appearances for Wimbledon as they progressed from non-league side to FA Cup winners, but four broken legs curtailed his playing days and he was forced to hang up his boots at the age of 27.
