This 20-minute session, typically run in the first few weeks of pre-season, builds up aerobic endurance fitness, vital as it is estimated that aerobic metabolism provides 90% of the energy cost of soccer match play

Biography

Ben Bradley is AFC Bournemouth’s Head of Academy Sport Science & Medicine, responsible for maintaining a high level of performance and responsiveness in players at the Barclays Premier League club.

Ben joined the south coast club in 2013 as an Academy Sport Scientist, moving on to embrace strength and conditioning tasks.

Previously he worked at Crawley Town as a first-team sports science intern having studied at Kingston University and the University of Worcester, qualifying from the latter with an MSc in Applied Sports Science.
