Mr Bikram Karmakar

Bikram Karmakar is a Sport and Exercise Physician based in Sydney. He serves as the team doctor for the Sydney Thunder cricket team and is the Chief Medical Officer for the Cronulla Sharks in the National Rugby League. Bikram combines clinical practice with academic teaching roles, and he contributes to governance through several board directorships and advisory roles. His research and publications span musculoskeletal health and sports physician burnout. He is a co-author of the Cricket Sports Medicine textbook (Springer, 2025), in which he co-authored the chapter on the foot and ankle. He brings a practical and evidence-based perspective to both clinical and performance settings.
