Ally McCoist

Rangers’ record goalscorer, with more than 250 goals for the Glasgow giants, McCoist began the task of hauling the club from the foothills of Scottish football after financial issues forced them to reform in the fourth tier. He won successive promotions with a 72% win record before stepping aside. McCoist previously worked as assistant manager to Walter Smith at Rangers and as part of his staff with Scotland.

McCoist won 61 Scotland caps, scoring 19 goals, and, besides his 15 seasons at Rangers, played for St Johnstone, Sunderland and Kilmarnock.
