Craig Shakespeare

Craig Shakespeare moved into coaching after a playing career of over 500 games, predominately for Walsall, West Bromwich and Grimsby.

Since 2006 he has occupied a number of assistant manager and 1st team coach positions. He assisted Claudio Ranieri in Leicester City’s incredible Premier League winning 2015-2016 season and took on the manager’s role after the Italian was sacked in 2017. ¬†Shakespeare also assisted Sam Allardyce when the latter was manager of England.

He was appointed an assistant manager at Aston Villa in August 2020.
