This session is focused on angled shot-stopping. It looks at the principles of moving around the goal in order to give a keeper the best chance of reacting to danger.

Biography

Dave Beasant is a goalkeeping coach. He enjoyed a successful playing career with Wimbledon, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Southampton, amongst others, twice being capped by England He famously became the first goalkeeper to save a penalty in an FA Cup final, lifting the trophy as Wimbledon captain in 1988. Becoming a specialist goalkeeping coach, he has worked at Fulham, Bristol Rovers, Stevenage, Reading, the Glenn Hoddle Academy, and with the Northern Ireland international team.
