As well as encouraging attacking angles, movement, link-up play and positivity in front of goal, this session also gives defenders practice in 1v1s and in dealing with crosses into the box.

More and more centre-forwards are learning how to play smarter when it comes to taking advantage of the rules of offside. Being clever with their movement can cause defenders countless problems, this session looks at attackers keeping defenders deep by standing in offside positions before coming back onside.

Biography

Eric Kinder was appointed academy manager at Carlisle United in June 2019 having previously been head of youth at the Cumbrian club 2006-13. In between he was under-21 coach and then academy boss at his boyhood club Blackburn, assistant manager at Limerick and assistant manager at Exeter City. Kinder previously had a decade in the youth set-up at Ewood Park.
