Gabriele Cioffi started his coaching career at Carpi in his home country of Italy, where he served as an assistant coach for the 2012–13 season. In July 2013 he was appointed as the head coach of Gavorrano but he soon relocated to Australia and worked for two years as a youth coach for Eastern United.
He subsequently moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he joined Henk Ten Cate’s coaching staff as assistant head coach with Al-Jazira. After helping the club to lift the UAE President’s Cup and then return to the Asian Champions League, Cioffi joined Gianfranco Zola’s coaching staff at Birmingham City in the EFL Championship.
In October 2017 he returned to the UAE to become assistant manager of Al Dhafra and he helped save the team from relegation.
He then moved to England to take over as head coach of League Two club Crawley Town in September 2018 and he took them to the fourth round of the League Cup for the first time.
Gabriele Cioffi is currently the assistant head coach at Udinese Calcio in Italy’s Serie A.
