Wide play

This session is all about exploiting the opposition in wide areas in order to gain the opportunity to either cross or shoot at goal. Our games have a lot of interactions in the wider areas, so it’s important to us that we can try to exploit this type of attack.

Biography

James Marrs is currently the head coach of Crystal Palace Women, competing in the FA Women’s Championship. He was formerly the head coach of women and girls football at Brighton and Hove Albion, where he led the senior women’s team to promotion to the FA Women’s Super League in 2016 before being appointed the manager of West Ham United Ladies. He has also enjoyed a spell as first team coach of Charlton Athletic Women and spent two seasons as the manager of Gillingham Women.
