Build-up play in a 4-3-3

This session is about playing out from the back in a 4-3-3 formation, coaching players on how to move the ball well and build through the units. It focuses on individual player movement, timing of runs to receive and support and, of course, an excellent end product.

Biography

Jim Bentley is closely associated with Morecambe who he played for from 2002-2011, then managed until 2019, at that point being the longest-serving manager in the top four tiers.. Before becoming manager he served as the club's captain and was part of the team that won a historic promotion to the Football League in 2007. As manager he established the team in League Two thing them to 11th in 2015, equalling the club's second-highest finish. In October 2019 he took over as manager of Fylde.
