Joe Montemurro

Joseph Montemurro joined Arsenal Women in November 2017. Under him the team has won the WSL title and the Continental Cup, and reached the final of the Women’s FA Cup.

Montemurro came to Arsenal Women having left Melbourne City. During his two years at Melbourne City, Montemurro first took up a position as the manager of their boys’ youth team for a period of 2015. Following Melbourne City joining the Australian W-League, he then became head coach of Melbourne City W-League.

During his first season with the club, the team was crowned 2015/16 W-league premiers and completed the championship double beating Sydney FC 4-1 in Melbourne. In the 2016/17 season, Melbourne City repeated their championship double under Montemurro.

Joe took his Uefa A and Pro licences at Coverciano, the Italian FA coaching hub. His playing career was spent in Australia and Italy.
