Defending
Pressing within a shape is a vital part of any team’s set-up. It ensures strength, control and organisation, and provides a crucial element to any successful side’s training process.

Biography

Lee Carsley had a distinguished career as a defensive midfielder with derby, Everton, Coventry and Birmingham. He has subsequently enjoyed a varied coaching career. Carsley has had spells as caretaker manager at Coventry and Birmingham, and an interim period in charge at Brentford, but has primarily worked as an assistant or in youth development at each of those clubs and Sheffield United and Manchester City. He is now a specialist U21 coach with the Football Association.
