With this session, we are looking to develop the player’s decision-making ability and the execution of his/her actions in the moment that possession is turned over.

Biography

Mark Sampson made his name in women's football but is now assistant manager at Stevenage in League Two with whom he had two months in 2019-20 as caretaker manager. As head coach of England Women Sampson led the Lionesses to success to third place in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, England's best performance. Sampson took over as England Women's Head Coach from Bristol Academy, who had finished runners-up to Liverpool Ladies on the final day of the WSL season. In his five years in charge he took The Vixens to two FA Cup finals and twice into UEFA competition. Prior to taking over at Bristol Sampson, 31, had previously worked under Roberto Martinez at Swansea as manager of the club's Centre of Excellence.
