In Possession

This session is all about counter-attacking and it encourages players to be organised and confident, so that during the transition from defence to attack they are able to quickly commit numbers in behind and in wide areas.

This session helps quick counter-attacking play with a variety of combinations involving all team members. It’s a high intensity session that tests both forwards and defenders.

Receiving skills

Skills & Techniques

Help players perfect receiving skills, whether that be on the front foot, back foot or the half turn; and whether as a result of one-, two- or three-touch football.

Use this explosive session to make space in front of and behind defenders in order to get into goalscoring opportunities

Biography

Michael Appleton has been manager of Lincoln City since September 2019. Appleton had been coaching at Leicester and West Bromwich Albion having previously managed Blackpool, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers and Oxford United. Before that Appleton was at West Brom – a 10-year spell that saw him serve as player and first-team coach.
