Switching play to score

Coach your players how and when to switch play to create goal-scoring opportunities – the different activities in this session have a lot of technical, tactical, physical, social and physiological elements within them. These keep the players focused, while also maintaining the sense of competition.

Biography

Stuart McCall enjoyed his first taste of management while still a player with Bradford City, the club he represented nearly 450 times. First serving as caretaker player-manager in 2000, he returned to Bradford in 2007 as manager after a spell at Sheffield United as Neil Warnock’s assistant. He subsequently joined Motherwell, twice finishing as Scottish Premier League runners up. He also took the club to the Scottish Cup final and into the Champions League qualifiers for the first time. He won the SPL Manager of the Year Award in 2013. After a short stint as manager of Rangers, he returned to Valley Parade for another spell as Bradford boss in 2016, taking the club to the League One playoff final. He joined Scunthorpe in August 2018 but returned to Bradford in 2020.
