David Flitcroft was announced as manager of npower Championship side Barnsley in December 2012. The 39-year-old had already been at Oakwell in a coaching capacity, and was made caretaker manager following the departure of Keith Hill before being given the job full-time.

Flitcroft is looking to keep Barnsley in the division, using the experience gained throughout a 19-year playing career, during which time he played for a host of clubs including Chester City, Rochdale and Bury.

In his five months in charge at Oakwell he has achieved an impressive 48% win ratio.
