Steve Cooper began coaching at the age of 20 having been released as a professional by Wrexham.

He stayed on at the club working part-time with the Under-11s, before moving up to become Head of Youth Development.

In September 2008, Liverpool moved in for the then 28-year-old. In four years at Anfield, he has moved through the ranks to become the club’s Academy manager and Under- 16s coach.
