Playing through the opposition low/mid block

Attacking

This session is designed to develop key in possession attacking principles which the team will need to use in important periods of a game, looking to break down the opposition when they are attempting to slow the attacking team down and regroup into a low or mid block.

Quick play through central midfield

In Possession

This is a small unit session that works on passing aspects of a midfielder’s play in the central area of the pitch, including changing angles to pass and receive and developing final pass options.

Biography

Kofi Hagan is a UEFA A licensed coach from a sports science background with approximately two decades of coaching experience.

Having worked at a number of levels up to professional football, organisations on his CV include Crawley Town, Millwall and Brighton and Hove Albion, where he spent almost a decade.

His work and personal self study within and outside of football have helped him develop extensive knowledge of recognising and building high performance cultures, player pathway development and performance psychology.

Kofi’s experience at the elite tier also includes developing research material and working on projects looking at performance in extremely high-pressure environments, player recruitment, player pathway development and player and multidisciplinary mental well-being care.

He has combined his roles and experiences in football with working for a government organisation responsible for operational policy and procedure and the mental well-being of staff who are exposed to highly traumatic and pressurised events.
