Switching play

The session is about passing the ball quickly and effectively across the width of the pitch to utilise space and to penetrate the opposition. Ultimately, players love passing the ball, so following that logic through, quick and effective link-up play is the best way to create opportunities, find weaknesses in your opponents and score goals.

Biography

Rob Page is assistant manager to Ryan Giggs at Wales. Rob joined Port Vale at the end of October 2014 having previously been youth team coach, assistant manager and interim manager at Vale Park. He left the club in 2016 and subsequently managed Northampton Town before joining the international set-up, initially at U21 level. Page won 41 international caps for Wales over nine years. The former defender captained Watford to their first season in the Premier League and was voted the club’s Player of the Season at the end of their debut campaign in the top flight.
