Possession practices

This is a reactive pressure and possession game that coaches players in the basics of team mechanics – namely keeping the ball, exploiting opposition mistakes and looking for an end goal or product.

Biography

David Wagner’s all-action style won him a number of fans in Yorkshire having taken over as Huddersfield Town manager in November 2015 and earning them promotion to the Premier League in 2017. Previously, he had worked under Jurgen Klopp’s tutelage with the Borussia Dortmund II side. After leaving Huddersfield he returned to Germany to coach Schalke 04. As a player, Wagner - who appeared for the United States - spent his entire playing career in Germany, notably winning the UEFA Cup with Schalke in 1997.
