Biography

When Jimmy Bell and first-team manager John Coleman departed Accrington Stanley in January 2012, they ended a 13-year association with the Lancashire club during which time they’d transformed them from Northern Premier First Division also-rans to an established League Two side. The re-emergence of Stanley as a competitive force – as a result of four promotions – had seen the duo become extremely well regarded in the north-west. S it was no surprise when, after spells at together Rochdale, Southport and Sligo, Bell returned to Accrington alongside Coleman in 2014. The pair subsequently took Stanley into the third tier in 2018.
