Biography

Karl Robinson was appointed to his first role, as manager of the MK Dons, on May 10, 2010. This was Robinson's first spell in football management and in doing so, he became the youngest manager in English football. Karl, a holder of the UEFA Pro License, replaced Paul Ince at Stadium: MK, having previously served as his assistant. Prior to joining the Dons, Robinson had coached at the Liverpool youth academy and also worked with Blackburn Rovers. In his new role as manager, he went onto enjoy a very successful first season in charge, as Robinson guided MK Dons to the play-offs after finishing 5th in npower League One. He continued to make impressive strides in 2011/12, by guiding his side to another 5th place position to once again reach the play-offs. The Club then finished 8th and 10th in the following two seasons. At the time of his departure from MK Dons, Robinson was the 3rd longest serving manager in English football. After leaving Milton Keynes, Karl managed at Charlton Athletic and is currently in charge at Oxford United taking them to the League One play-off final in 2020.
