Counter-attacking

This training session is based on both aspects of the counter-attack, offering the defensive side of the team solutions to dealing with counter-attacks and giving the attackers more than a few things to think about.

Biography

As a player, Lewis Young turned out for numerous clubs, including Watford, Burton Albion, Forest Green Rovers, Northampton Town, Yeovil Town, Aldershot Town, Bury and Crawley Town. After retiring through injury in August 2021, he took up a coaching role at Crawley Town and in February 2022 he was appointed assistant manager. He finished the campaign as interim manager of the League Two club, taking charge of the first team for the final four games of the season. He enjoyed a second spell as caretaker manager early the following season and in his two stints in charge of Crawley Town in 2022, he spent 14 matches at the helm, winning four games and drawing a further four. In April 2023, Lewis joined the coaching staff at National League club Dagenham & Redbridge as first-team coach.
