Counter-attacking

This session is aimed at counter-attacking the opposition, either from deep or from the middle third. It also focuses on exploiting attacking overloads. It’s a good training session because it caters for all positions and units.

Biography

As a player, Darren Moore represented Torquay United, Doncaster Rovers, Bradford City, Derby County, Portsmouth, Barnsley and Burton Albion. He also played for West Bromwich Albion, making over 100 league appearances for the midlands club.

After hanging up his boots in 2012, he eventually returned to West Brom as a youth coach. In April 2018, with the Baggies bottom of the table and with only six matches remaining in the season, he was appointed caretaker manager of the club. He immediately turned around the form of the team, earning the Premier League Manager of the Month award and he was given the manager’s job on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

He joined League One side Doncaster Rovers as manager in July 2019.
